Reader’s Choice Top 5 Brunch Spots in Palm Beach County
Recently the Palm Beach Post announced the winners of their latest Reader’s Choice Award for top Brunch Spots in Palm Beach County. The top five restaurants cover the quaint Village of Tequesta to West Palm Beach.
Top on the list is Ocean Bleu, a neighborhood bistro in Tequesta. Locally inspired dishes are created by Turkish Chef and Owner, Levent Yurdatap. Yurdatap previously worked at private country clubs, including prestigious Admirals Cove, prior to opening Ocean Bleu. A signature on the brunch menu is “Millionaires Bacon”. He prepares it himself very slowly over night. Initially he cuts a “slab of bacon into extra thick slices and spreads them out on wire racks that are set atop baking sheets. He sprinkles the bacon with brown sugar, red pepper flakes and cayenne, and then bakes it at low heat. The eatery’s renowned Eggs Benedict, one of four offered, shares the menu with a range of omelets (from wild mushroom to lump crab), French toast, a beef brisket burger that is topped with a sunny-side-up egg, fish tacos, and a variety of salads. Bottomless Bloody Mary’s or Mimosas add to the brunch ambience as well as the subtle reggae music playing in the background.
The Wine Dive pulled in a close second as a favorite brunch spot. It is located in Downtown West Palm Beach on Clematis Street and features bottomless mimosas and live DJ. The trendy American restaurant features a wide-ranging menu of eclectic entrees.
Third place on the Reader’s Choice favorites list is Table 26. It is located in the “Mango Promenade District” of West Palm Beach, just south of the Norton Museum of Art. Executive Chef Joe is passionate about his craft and makes his cuisine magic. Try the signature Pork Chop or unique Grilled Octopus.
The Cooper is next on the list of favorite brunch spots in town. The restaurant embraces the organic concept of “farm to table”. The hip bistro offers a “make you own Bloody Mary bar” and a breezy environment. The Palm Beach Gardens eatery is described as “a farmhouse meets glam setting and lively ambiance”.
