Waterfront Properties and Club Communities is thrilled to share the news that our Owner and Managing Partner, Rob Thomson, has been honored with the prestigious Extraordinary Philanthropy Award by Luxury Real Estate (LRE). This honor was presented to Rob during the 26th Annual Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate Fall Conference which took place in Park City, Utah. This award highlights Rob Thomson's remarkable leadership and unwavering commitment to socially responsible causes, marking the second time he has been bestowed with this recognition, the first being in 2018.

Thomson's deep-seated dedication to making a positive impact within our community shines through in his well-deserved nomination. Here are some of the philanthropic efforts that were highlighted in his nomination:

  • Providing over $100,000 in financial support for Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee, Florida, including underwriting adoption fees for first responders.
  • Contributing $50,000 to the construction of Big Dog Ranch's Senior Sanctuary, ensuring a comfortable life for senior dogs.
  • His nomination to serve on the Hanley Foundation Board for his $100,000 contribution to rehabilitation scholarships for youths struggling with addiction challenges.
  • Donating bicycles, toys, and Easter baskets during the holiday seasons to children in need through Charities for Children.
  • Leading fundraising campaigns and matching donations dollar-for-dollar to provide ADA-compliant school buses for Jupiter High School and Dwyer High School.
  • Funding two state-of-the-art workout facilities for the Juno Beach and Tequesta Police Departments and receiving the Community Partnership Award from the Juno Beach Police Department in recognition of his exceptional support.
  • Contributing $25,000 to the Jupiter Medical Center, with a commitment to contribute an additional $75,000 over the following three years, enabling the center to enhance its services and reach more individuals in need.

Notably, in addition to winning the Extraordinary Philanthropy Award in 2018 and 2023 from LRE, Rob Thomson was also honored with the Florida Realtors Humanitarian of the Year Award at the 2023 Florida Realtors Convention & Trade Expo held in Orlando, Florida, this past August.

Rob Thomson is not only a respected figure in our industry but also a dedicated ambassador for positive community change.
