Sailfish Point, 1648 SE Sailfish Point Blvd., Stuart is truly an exceptional country club and golfing community! This 7,088-yard, par 72 course, stretches along ocean and river, it is 18 holes of a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. Water and wind are the distinctive aspects at Sailfish Point. This private course, originally designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1981, is surrounded by three bodies of water.  The Atlantic Ocean, the St. Lucie Inlet and the Indian River are on three sides of the course.  Each hole boasts stunning water views, which makes it both stunning as well as challenging. The wind and weather conditions affect members and guests game.  The elements make it feels like a new course each time you play at Sailfish Point’s direct.  The par-4 signature 18th hole has been dubbed the “Window on the Sea” for its remarkable ocean view.

The most challenging hole according to the golf pro is the 14th hole. “It’s a 614-yard par 5 that often plays into the prevailing wind. Golfers must hit the third shot over the water to the green with the St. Lucie Inlet directly behind the green, he says. The unique features of the challenging coastal course still attracted Jack Nicklaus, who returned in 2007 to remodel the Sailfish Point course.  The revamped course was rewarded with a top ten spot on Golf Digest’s “Best Remodel” list in 2009.
