Save the Tiger 5K at the Palm Beach Zoo
Saturday, May 14th is the annual Save the Tiger 5K at the Palm Beach Zoo in West Palm Beach. Join the zoo in a passionate effort to help save the Malayan tiger.
“The Malayan tiger is the most endangered of the 5 remaining species of tigers. It's estimated that there are fewer than 250 in the wild. The Palm Beach Zoo works closely with the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), supporting species and habitat research and protection at Endau-Rompin National Park in Malaysia. A portion of your race registration fee helps fund our involvement with WCS.”
The Palm Beach Zoo is dedicated to preserving and protecting the beautiful, exotic animals the world has to offer and this is a fun way for you to help them too. The participants of the Save the Tiger 5K can either run or walk in the race. You will make your way through the zoo’s “tiger river habitat” where two of the four Mayalan tigers. Some of the other beautiful species you will pass on your 5K trot include New Guinea singing dogs, wallabies, ocelots, foxes and so much more.
