Peaceful Mind, Peaceful Life Wellness Series is dedicated to fostering inner peace and wellness by educating and inspiring individuals. Additionally, establishing community through mindfulness practices, online resources, and programs. Barb Schmidt is renowned practitioner, here in the Boca Raton area, of mindfulness and meditation for over 30 years. The soothing sounds of the Atlantic Ocean and seagulls can only do so much. In 2011, she founded the nonprofit organization Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life. She has taught meditation workshops at Nova Southeastern University and at Florida Atlantic University as part of the Peace, Justice & Human Rights Initiative. She currently teaches monthly workshops at Boca Raton Regional Hospital as part of the Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life Wellness Series. Her mission was to bring mindfulness teachings to the community in the belief that outer peace begins through inner peace.
Barb Schmidt is the author of the worldwide bestselling book The Practice: Simple Tools for Managing Stress, Finding Inner Peace, and Uncovering Happiness. Through the years, she has studied with master teachers from around the world the likes of Deepak Chopra to the Dalai Lama and she has studied on over 100 retreats. She has tutored meditation courses at Nova Southeastern University, and currently she offers classes and workshops at Florida Atlantic University as part of the Peace, Justice & Human Rights Initiative.
Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life founder Barb Schmidt has been in partnership with the Peace Studies department at Florida Atlantic University since 2006. This program brings together students, faculty, and community members to explore pathways to peace and the processes of peace building. Through the Peace Studies program, Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life presents workshops and events that feature spiritual leaders, best-selling authors, and prominent peacemakers.
