Jupiter’s Carlin Park will be cloaked in mystery July 12-15 and July 19-22 for the 12th Shakespeare by the Sea Festival.  The Seabreeze Amphitheater will be transformed into a deserted island for this adaptation of the Shakespeare classic comedy of the “Twelfth Night” as it is reimagined with a contemporary twist.

Although the “Twelfth Night” is being revisited again at the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival after 22 years “ this production promises to be more complex than ones done in the past” according to Executive Producer Kermit Chrisman.  They have infused the concept of plane crashes and landing in the setting of the 400-year-old classic tale, on a deserted island theme.  A must see concept.

While diverging from the original setting, the play hinges on one of Shakespeare classic comedic devices, a case of mistaken identity.  This contemporary twist may prove to be more approachable for a modern day audience.  More than 10,000 guests expected this year.
