Palm Beach is one of the most prestigious towns in South Florida. Located in Palm Beach County on a barrier island just east of West Palm Beach, it is surrounded by stunning beaches, the Intracoastal Waterway, and features some of the most beautiful estate homes in the world. Residents enjoy boating, private docks and marinas, golfing on lush courses, and shopping on Worth Avenue, which features exclusive high-end designer shops and boutiques, art galleries, and an array of upscale gourmet restaurants. Palm Beach’s tropical climate attracts people year round, making it an ideal destination for both permanent and seasonal residents. Here are a few prime destinations worth a visit while you're on the island!

The Flagler Museum

When construction completed in 1902, the New York Herald proclaimed that Whitehall, Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach, was "more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world." Known as “the brains” behind Standard Oil, Henry Flagler practically invented modern Florida by funding the building of the overseas railroad, which remains the most ambitious engineering feat ever undertaken by a private citizen. Today, Whitehall is a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public as the Flagler Museum, featuring guided tours, changing exhibitions, and special programs.

Worth Avenue

If you haven’t been to Worth Ave, you haven’t been to Palm Beach! A stroll down this stylish and sophisticated road affords an impressive collection of luxury brands and one-of-a-kind boutiques featuring the ultimate in art, apparel, dining, and home furnishings with a tradition of exceptional personal service.

Findlay Galleries and Holden Luntz Gallery

If you enjoy fine art, Palm Beach is for you. Modernism, European impressionism, and 20th century American paintings are showcased from over 100 artists at the second oldest art gallery in America, Findlay Galleries.

Portraiture, alternative photography, and sublimated aluminum prints are covered by the Holden Luntz Gallery, who represents iconic artists including Harry Benson, Clive Arrowsmith, and early underwater photographer Bruce Mozert.

Palm Beach (The actual beach)

What is a visit to Palm Beach without putting your toes in the sand on the actual beach? Open sunrise to sunset, there are six miles of public beach on the island with lifeguards stationed just north of Worth Avenue. Don’t forget to snap a photo in front of the iconic Palm Beach clock tower.

Society of The Four Arts Gardens

The Society of The Four Arts Botanical Gardens are demonstration gardens maintained by the Palm Beach Garden Club. The area consists of two beautiful areas of lush landscaping, including the Philip Hulitar Sculpture Gardens and the Four Arts Botanical Gardens. The gardens are open seven days a week, and there is no charge for admission.
