One of the longest running triathlons in the state of Florida takes place right in our backyard at Carlin Park in Jupiter. Participants have been competing in the Jupiter Medical Center Loggerhead Triathlon, produced by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, since 1985, putting this oceanside challenge on the southeast race circuit bucket-list for some of the top triathletes throughout the United States. Each year, more than 600 athletes participate in the Loggerhead Triathlon, with more than 150 volunteers providing support.

This upcoming weekend the Turtleman Triathlon will be taking place along the beaches of Jupiter and Juno Beach. Participants will ride down A1A along the beach, swim in the warm Atlantic Ocean, and run through Carlin Park. The triathlon is this upcoming Saturday, June 30th with check in starting at 5:30 am.

Tomorrow, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is hosting their 7th Annual Run 4 The Sea. The race is 4 miles long and begins at 7am, Saturday June 16th, and is open to runners and walkers. Following the start of the 4-mile run there will also be a 1-mile Kids Fun Run starting at 8:15 am.

The purpose of the run is to support and raise money for the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to provide rehabilitation to injured and endangered sea turtles and to promote the conservation of the ocean.

This upcoming Sunday is Father’s Day and the Royal Palm Beach Commons in Royal Palm Beach is hosting a 5K run and Family Fun run to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The money raised will be donated to help with research and to help find a cure to end blood cancers.

The event is a family affair and has something for everyone to participate. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their popular Hike Through History this Saturday May 5th.

The hike includes a 2-mile journey through the 120-acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Natural Conservation Area to discover the history and nature of the historic Jupiter site. The site is just one of three natural sites in the United States that is protected by the Bureau of Land Management’s National Conservation Lands Programs. The Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach hosts a weekly outdoor yoga session every Thursday from 9 am to 10 am. Haute Yoga studio in the Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach has announced that their weekly outdoor yoga sessions have been approved by the Town Council.

Haute Yoga has opened in the plaza five years ago when they plaza was just offices and salons. Up Markets has purchased in September 2014 and the plaza has undergone renovation and restoration to bring the plaza back to how it was originally envisioned.

Registration has opened for the 28th Annual Turtle Trot 5K Run, Saturday, May 5th hosted by the Town of Jupiter.

All runners are welcomed to join the 3.1-mile race along the Jupiter beach. The race course is flat and fast starting at A1A and Marcinski Road. Runners will start at the starting line and run 1 mile down A1A before turning around and coming back before ending at the finish line in Ocean Cay Park.
