ESPN Monday Night Football buses have arrived at Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound to prepare for Capital One’s “The Match: Champions for Charity” this Sunday, May 24th, with Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning vs. Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady. The match will be televised by Turner Sports (TNT, TBS, truTV and HLN) from 3-7 p.m. EST.

Not only can golf fans starved for live competition see some of the game’s greats raising millions of dollars for a noble cause, they will get a rare look at where the rich and famous hone their games.

“The Match: Champions for Charity” follows another COVID-19 relief match which took place at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach last week, which hosted Rory Mcllroy, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, and Matthew Wolff.

Palm Beach Gardens resident and long-time veteran of the golf community Suzy Whaley has added another achievement to her extensive resume; she is officially the first woman ever elected to serve as an Officer of the PGA of America. PGA Master Professional Suzy Whaley was elected as the 41st President of the PGA of America at the Association’s 102nd Annual Meeting on November 9th, 2018. 

This title certainly doesn’t come as a surprise from PGA President Whaley, as she most recently served two years as Vice President, and two years as PGA Secretary. She is also the PGA Owner of Suzy Whaley Golf, and the PGA Director of Instruction at the Country Club of Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The YMCA has announced that Emmitt Smith will be the keynote speaker at the 10th Annual Prayer Breakfast this December.

Smith became NFL’s all-time leading rusher during his fifteen seasons as a professional football player during the 1990s and 2000s. He is a three-time Super Bowl Champion, and NFL Hall of Famer, and of course- winner of season 3 Dancing with the Stars.

On November 17th, The Jupiter Lighthouse is hosting their annual twilight fundraiser, Rendezvous at the Light, 6-9:30 PM.

Jupiter’s only water TOP restaurant has been featured on Food Network’s new show “Food Boats”, and Chef Justin Lindemann is ecstatic.

According to the Palm Beach Post, producers and celebrity Chef Jordan Andino hopped on the Food Yacht in April to shoot the spotlight segment on Lindemann’s small kitchen creations. Lindemann wanted to showcase the locals’ favorite barbecue chicken burrito and lemon pepper seared tuna wrap, but producers insisted on the shrimp BLT and crab cakes.

The New York City film crew had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather and Bahamas-blue water of Jupiter Florida from the 40-foot six-seater restaurant.
