The Village of North Palm Beach is offering Crafts for Grownups.  Crafting is the activity or hobby of making decorative articles by hand.  Crafting classes are at the North Palm Beach Community Center located at 1200 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach.  Crafting has been shown to provide a laundry list of benefits for adults—from relieving stress, depression, and insomnia to decreasing the risk of age-related cognitive impairment. Plus, a good craft project can go a long way towards helping you achieve your interior decorating goals without breaking the bank.

Crafts for Grown-Ups is here, and holiday crafts are on the calendar.  Space and supplies are limited to 20. Sign-up is available online or by phone at (561) 841 – 3383.

The 5th Annual West Palm Beach Arts Festival is presented by the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach. It will feature local and out-of-town artists, live music, demonstrations, food, and activities for all ages. The festival takes place December 4-5, 2021, between the hours of 10:00 am-4:00 pm.

Artistic media includes 2-D, which is drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media. Other artistic media includes 3-D, which is ceramics, sculpture, fiber, jewelry, glass, furniture. The range of media provides the perfect opportunity for some holiday shopping!

Enjoy the upscale tropical island setting of the Sailfish Marina and the Sunset Celebration, on Singer Island, you will find the premier weekly arts and crafts show of the Palm Beaches. On any Thursday evening from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, you may find wood sculpture, pottery, watercolors, blown glass, gold and silver jewelry, and much, much more from more than 30 different artists.

Musicians play island tunes on guitar and steel drum, and patrons can buy their famous “grouper dogs” (fried grouper in a hotdog bun) or conch fritters right on the dock. If you would prefer something more formal, the Sailfish Marina Restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining with a beautiful view of the sunset over the water.

The city of West Palm Beach is hosting their annual Seafood Festival this weekend at the South Florida Fairgrounds. The festival is a seafood enthusiast’s dream come true.

The family-friendly event will feature nautical vendors with unique merchandise, craftsman’s and artists displaying their original artwork and pieces, live music and entertainment, rides, a kid’s zone, a full service bar, and of course all the seafood you can ever imagine.  The seafood is fresh and cooked several different ways onsite.

The local art center and gallery in Tequesta is temporarily closed its doors but organizers and the center’s staff is now offering a variety of online virtual art classes for you to enjoy. 

The Lighthouse Art Center Gallery and School of Art is offering online classes including ceramics, drawing, jewelry, painting, sculpture and photography. The classes vary in price and the proceeds are used to pay the instructors that help to continue the organization’s mission of connecting the community to art. 

The classes will begin online next week and registration is now open for the live stream classes.  Classes will run from April 23rd to May 23rd. To register and sign up, click here to visit their website.
