The Detroit Symphony Orchestra returns to Palm Beach's Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is an American orchestra based in Detroit, Michigan. Its primary performance venue is Orchestra Hall at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit's Midtown neighborhood. The orchestra's current president and chief executive officer is Anne Parsons, since 2004. Jader Bignamini is the current music director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

To celebrate its 45th “Sapphire Season”, Palm Beach Symphony is planning to feature a Masterworks Series and a Chamber Music Series throughout 2018 and 2019.

The Masterworks Series will include five orchestral concerts, all conducted by Artistic and Music Director Ramon Tebar. Two concerts will be performed at the Kravis Center for Performing Arts, with other performances occurring at Benjamin Hall, Rosarian Academy, and Society of the Four Arts. The first performance will be on Sunday, December 2nd.

The Chamber Music Series will have its opening night on Wednesday, January 30th at Harriet Himmel Theater in CityPlace. Subtitled “Viennese Dreams”, this series will highlight works by Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, and Schubert, and will begin on

Not only is The Lion King everyone’s favorite childhood movie, but the Broadway Musical is the third longest-running show in history, and has grossed more than $1 billion, making it the highest grossing Broadway production of all time. Over 95 million people worldwide have seen the musical, including the British Royal Family, and it has earned numerous awards and honors, including six Tony Awards, one for Best Musical and Best Direction of a Musical, making director Julie Taymor the first woman to earn such an honor.
