The Detroit Symphony Orchestra returns to Palm Beach's Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is an American orchestra based in Detroit, Michigan. Its primary performance venue is Orchestra Hall at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit's Midtown neighborhood. The Kravis Center, Dreyfoos Concert Hall in West Palm Beach is presenting Ballet Palm Beach and the Miami City Ballet performances of The Nutcracker.  The story of The Nutcracker is loosely based on the E.T.A. Hoffmann fantasy story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, about a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and wages a battle against the evil Mouse King.

To celebrate its 45th “Sapphire Season”, Palm Beach Symphony is planning to feature a Masterworks Series and a Chamber Music Series throughout 2018 and 2019.

The Masterworks Series will include five orchestral concerts, all conducted by Artistic and Music Director Ramon Tebar. Two concerts will be performed at the Kravis Center for Performing Arts, with other performances occurring at Benjamin Hall, Rosarian Academy, and Society of the Four Arts. The first performance will be on Sunday, December 2nd.

Not only is The Lion King everyone’s favorite childhood movie, but the Broadway Musical is the third longest-running show in history, and has grossed more than $1 billion, making it the highest grossing Broadway production of all time.
