The Lord’s Place transforms lives by providing solutions that break the cycle of homelessness for the most vulnerable and neglected in Palm Beach County. Recently, Representative Lois Frankel presented nearly one million dollars to the Lord’s Place in West Palm Beach to help the organization rebuild its family campus located on Haverhill Road. The organization houses thirty-seven families. The check was in the amount of $998,900. The money is a part of community project funding and the 2022 spending bill passed by Congress earlier this month. 

Leaders at the Lord’s Place, established in 1983, requested the money for much-needed improvements, which will now go towards updating the kitchen, bathrooms, and floors. The center helps to fight…

Palm Beach County Goodwill Stores and Donation Centers will open in 4 days on Friday, May 15th. Store hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 7 days per week.   Goodwill's top priority is safe shopping and donating for everyone! They have installed barriers at the check out stations, staff will be wearing masks, shoppers will be limited to 25% capacity, they will be following santitation protocols, and all donations will be quarantined before items are placed out on the floor. ELS Center of Excellence is a tuition-free, non-profit public charter high school for students on the autism spectrum. You are invited to support their great cause by joining them for dinner at their second annual Food Around The World event. Chefs will present food, wine, and dessert tastings from over 25 different countries!

Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is hosting a casino night this Saturday! Put on your poker face and try your hand at roulette, blackjack, craps, and more! This event raises money for Families First of Palm Beach County, a non-profit who provides a hand-up to families so they can find their way back to self-sufficiency and provide safe, loving homes for their children. Services are directed toward famly strengthening, health, behavioral health, and housing.
