This Saturday, March 2nd, come out and celebrate the great, South Florida outdoors at the 23nd Annual NatureScaping: An Outdoor Festival.  The festivities start at 10 am and will take place at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park. There will be fun for the whole family including a beach clean-up, door prizes, kayaking, a kid’s activity area, native plant vendors, live music and food trucks.

Pet Paradise hosts a free “Puppy Social” Every Saturday from 2 - 4PM. If you want a happy, friendly, puppy that is nice to other dogs and well behaved with people, then you have to socialize it.

Dogs are naturally social animals and while it’s great for them to get lots of attention from you, their human owners, there is something unique and incredibly valuable about the lessons they learn from interacting with other dogs.

A social pet is a happy, fun, and safe companion. They’re fun to be around, and they’re calm in all sorts of social situations.

The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center is a great place to visit if you, your kids, or your grandkids, are looking to learn more about South Florida’s local marine life.

The center is located on Hutchinson Island. Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon, the 57-acre parcel houses the Society's headquarters, nature trails, 750,000-gallon Game Fish Lagoon, Sea Turtle Pavilion, Children's Activity Pavilion, Sea Star Touch Tank Pavilion, Rays on the Reef Ray Pavilion, and the Frances Langford Visitors Center. The Sunset Bike Ride at Jonathan Dickinson State Park is an easy ride on paved flat trails, it’s perfect for those looking to do something fun and relatively easy outdoors.

The Sunset Bike Ride will go a distance of about 10-12 miles at a 8-10 mph pace. For half of the ride you will be on trails with no cars. For the other half you will ride the main road where there may be a few cars and the speed limit is 25 mph. Sunset 603 pm. You will then watch the sunset from the top of Hobe Mountain Tower.

Bring helmet, lights, water, insect repellant.

Join the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse’s staff on a 2-mile trek through the 120-acres of outstanding natural area and discover that history is indeed shaped by nature.

The hike is open to adults and children-minimum age 5, ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult that is at least 18 years old.  Hiker’s footwear, active wear, a hat, and a full water bottle or canteen should be carried, tour is weather dependent. If you’d like to go on the hike plan on meeting at the Museum’s flag pole on Saturday, February 2nd, at 8:30AM

 The Honda Classic 5K is a recreational run around the cart paths of the back nine of The Champion course at PGA National Resort & Spa. The run takes place on January 19th at 7:30 a.m. So if you haven’t been preparing, you better start now!

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Place of Hope charity which provides family-style foster care and other services for children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and neglect, will team with The Honda Classic and Honda Classic Cares on the race which has become one of the favorite recreational running events of the year in Palm Beach County.
