A sweet tea sangria combines two of the Palm Beach County favorite things, sweet tea, and wine. A traditional Spanish libation, sangria is a wine-based “punch.”  It includes seasonal fruit, a sweetener, brandy, and sometimes a splash of soda water, Sprite, juice, or tea.

Wine takes the center stage in this pitcher cocktail, so choose a wine that is fruity but dry, has good acidity, and is lower in tannins, then just add some sweet tea in place of soda water and pour over ice.

All you will need to make it is sweet tea, white wine, raspberries, peaches, and mint for a garnish. This sweet tea sangria recipe will quickly become of your favorites. Whenever you have fresh summer fruit lying around, whip up a quick batch of sweet tea and mix it with a…

Yesterday we honored may fallen heroes, wearing a red poppy, lowering the flag to half-staff, and observing a minute of silence at 3:00 pm. The roots for Decoration Day go back to shortly after the Civil War when citizens paid local tributes to those who had died. In 1868, Maj. Gen. John A. Logan, commander in…
