Just because we live in sunny, South Florida doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a snowy holiday! Every night in West Palm Beach, City Place turns into a winter wonderland with a beautiful snowfall.  

This has been a beautiful tradition put on by City Place for years and it sure draws a crowd. Each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening at 6 pm and 7pm the snow will begin cascading down onto the plaza. Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday the snowfall will take place at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm.

For the second year in a row, the city of Downtown West Palm Beach is going to be converted into an outdoor art exhibition called CANVAS Outdoor Museum Show. Your art experience will have no boundaries and no limits at the CANVAS show from November 11th to the 20th. Spread out over several event days, with multiple locations CANVAS is a celebration of art you won’t want to miss. 

More than twenty different locations will be transformed into massive art installations. Feast your eyes on building-sized frescos, intricate murals and jaw dropping works of art. These works will be applied to the sides of condominium towers, hotels, a city-owned garage, and even the Royal Park Bridge that leads to Palm Beach.

Now on display at The Waterfront on West Palm Beach is the internationally recognized art installation known as “Los Trompos” or “Spinning Tops.” Created by two Mexican, contemporary artists, these colorful tops are interactive so you touch, see and feel them. 

The Waterfront has been transformed into a medley of vivid colors while Los Trompos are in town. Artists, Hector Esrawe and Ignacio Cadena are the masterminds behind these beautiful tops. The installation is comprised of 20, 3D spinning tops that have been described as “larder than life.” The tops are made of different medium from rope to metal. The World Goes Round is now playing at the beloved Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. The show is a musical spectacular featuring some of the most popular songs of Broadway, performed by Broadway stars.

This month on June 25th is the Tropical Fruit Festival at Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach. This special event focuses on the incredible tropical fruit trees of the area, showcasing the delicious fruits nature gives in Southern Florida. This Thursday in West Palm Beach is the 5th Annual “Pairings” Event of West Palm Beach. The event is a popular culinary happening that focuses on bringing together the best food and wine in the county. 

Hosted by the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, the West Palm Beach Pairings Event showcases 25 local restaurants and their artisanal creations. The event donates its proceeds to Families First of Palm Beach County, which is a non-profit, countywide service dedicated to the well being of children and families in the area. The program’s mission is to better families and their children through “high-quality programs in prevention, early intervention, child development, behavioral health, education and advocacy.”
