Head over to Currie Park in West Palm Beach this Saturday night and watch Grease in the park. The outdoor movie event is a drive-in movie featuring the 1978 classic hit. This August the Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society is offering kids free admission for every full-priced adult ticket. Two children under the age of 13 will be able to get into the zoo for free throughout the month of August.

The Palm Beach Zoo is home to hundreds of animals and species, many of them are endangered. The zoo features 23 acres of lush tropical habitat. Animals include monkey’s, alligators, birds, tigers, elephants, jaguars, bears, sloths, and much more.

The Zoo reopened its door in June with new safety rules and social distancing protocols. Attendance at the zoo is still limited and is being offered at a first come, first serve basis. Several hand washing stations and hand sanitizer stations are placed throughout the many…

The City of West Palm Beach announced recently that a new series has been launched. The entertainment series will feature weekly drive-in movies called the “Show On The Go”.  The city will be showing movies at both Currie Park and Dreher Park throughout the month of August.

The city of West Palm Beach is working hard to develop and plan for new ideas and concepts to keep everyone entertainment and keep everyone’s health and safety in mind.

The wait is over, baseball is back. The Major League Baseball’s 2020 Season is having its Opening Day this Thursday, July 23rd.

For Opening Day baseball fans get to see the 2019 World Series Champions Washington Nationals host the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. The remaining MLB teams will also start the 2020 Season this Thursday.  

The Washington Nationals come to Palm Beach County every year for their Spring Training games at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. The Houston Astros also use the same field for Spring Training. In Jupiter, the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is home to the Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training games.

Free Covid 19 Testing is being conducted at 751 Executive Drive, West Palm Beach, in the BrandsMart parking lot, Starting Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. The tests are for ages 18 and older only. Please wear a mask to the testing site.

Grassy Waters trail open

The Grassy Waters Preserve’s Eagle Trail is open, and fishing from shore is permitted, even as the preserve’s Gator Lake Fishing Pier Improvement Project begins this week. The Gator Lake Fishing Pier, at 8537 Northlake Blvd., is getting new decking and railings, a sun shelter and improved Americans with Disabilities Act access.

This year, West Palm Beach is continuing their traditional 4th on Flagler event but this year, the firework display will be taking place virtually.  Instead of spectators lining Flagler Drive and the waterfront in West Palm Beach, spectators can enjoy the celebration from the comfort of their own homes.

The event will be televised due to social distancing and recommendations from the CDC and county. The 4th on Flagler will not only be celebrating America’s independence but also this year, the city of West Palm Beach is turning 125 years old. West Palm Beach became a city on July 21st, 1903.

The Mounts Botanical Gardens is now open to the public. The Botanical Gardens was nearly closed for three months and reopened its doors to the public yesterday, June 16th. The garden will reopen at 50% capacity in keeping with the county, state, and CDC guidelines.

Mounts Botanical Garden is one of Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest botanical gardens.  The gardens feature 14-acres of tropical oasis and features 25 display gardens showcasing more than 2,000 species of plants.

Mounts Botanical Gardens joins the list of other cultural centers in Palm Beach County that have reopened with limited capacity. The Flagler Museum, The Norton Museum, The Pan’s Gardens and The Society of the Four Arts have recently been welcoming visitors back.

The newly renovated Rosemary Square, in downtown West Palm Beach has reopened for visitors are taking extra precautions to help keep everyone safe.

The outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment venue has hand sanitizer stations throughout the property and frequent cleanings of high touch areas. The center encourages everyone to wear a mask, wash hands regularly and to keep distance.

Public events are postponed until further notice, but serval shops and restaurants have reopened for the public. Rosemary Square’s valet has returned on Okeechobee Boulevard and all parking garages have touchless payments.
