Spring is just around the corner and the end of February means the return of baseball for many fans. Baseball’s Spring Training brings new players, new goals, and new expectations for the upcoming MLB Season. In Palm Beach County, four professional teams play their Spring Training games at two local baseball stadiums.

The Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter is home to the Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training games. The FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches is home to the Washington Nationals and the Houston Astros.

Spring Training Games begin this weekend and fans can attend the games. The first Spring Training games in Palm Beach County will both be played this Sunday, February 28th.

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts recently announced their 2021-2022 ‘Kravis on Broadway’ performance schedule. This fall, seven musical performances will be taking over the stage at The Kravis Center.

This year, The Kravis Center series is going to filled with some of the newest and most popular Broadway shows and musicals. Ticket sales will be available to the public in June, but subscribers for the Kravis on Broadway series will begin receiving ticket information in March.

The Mandel Public Library is located at 411 Clematis Street in West Palm Beach. If your child is grappling in school or just needs a little assistance to stay on track with their homework, the Mandel Public Library is willing to help. The library has brought in certified teachers, from Monday to Thursday for in person tutoring to assist your child with their schoolwork, ranging from basic homework needs to school projects or giving advice.

Mandel Library Homework Help Center help will be offered for kids grades K-5, Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays in the “Children’s Space” on the 3rd floor of the library. Teens will be offered the same opportunity for help from 5:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

Palm Beach County’s FotoFusion is back again this February after another successful year. The annual festival is presented by the Palm Beach Photographic Centre and is normally held in downtown West Palm Beach, but this year the event is going complete virtual.

The show promises to still be as vibrant as ever, showcasing internationally known photographers for virtual portfolio reviews and virtual engagements. This year, the event will spotlight photojournalist Maggie Steber, who will be receiving this year’s prestigious FOTOMentor Award. Steber is one of the keynote lectures during this year’s FotoFusion along with photographers Keith Carter and Joyce Tenneson, and world-famous poet Richard Blanco.

The City of West Palm Beach is excited to offer a new event starting tonight during their popular Clematis By Night event. Clematis By Night includes local bands and musicians performing at the Meyer Amphitheatre on the waterfront.

In addition to the live music tonight, the city is planning to debut their new Clematis By Light event. The newly renovated Centennial Foundation located at the east end of Clematis Street will feature a light and water show. The show that will kick off the event is the “Love Our CommUNITY”.

The light and water show will runs Thursdays through Sunday’s plus this Monday for President’s Day beginning tonight February 11th through March 11th. The show last approximately six minutes and will run three times an hour from 6 pm

The popular Palm Beach Show is back for another year beginning this weekend for a week at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The Palm Beach Shows features exciting collections of art, jewelry, antiques, and design.

The Norton Museum of Art is celebrating a milestone. This year, the museum turns 80 years old is celebrating this weekend by hosting a virtual anniversary party and a virtual auction.

The traditional gala and dinner has been cancelled for their big celebrations, but the museum is still going to host a celebration, just in a different way. The virtual anniversary celebration will be held this Saturday, February 6th from the comfort of your own home.

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is offering virtual coaching and classes for students. Registration is now open for students who want one-on-one enrichment in the arts. The performing arts center began its ‘Bring Down the House’ virtual event last year and are planning to continue the virtual coaching through 2021.

The Kravis Center typically invites a diverse array of international and national artists and performances throughout the year and have helped millions of students locally that wish to get involved in the arts. If you are looking to refresh your landscaping or just browse through gardens, the Mounts Botanical Gardens of Palm Beach County is hosting their annual Winter Plant Sale this weekend. More than 40 vendors have joined in to participate in the event and will be scattered throughout the gardens.

Come shop a wide range of shrubs, trees, plants, garden accessories, and fine crafts. The Nursery and Vintage Thrift Shop will be open during the Winter Plant Sale and features a great variety of plants and unique items for the home or garden.

Tickets are required for the event and cost $10 dollars in advance ($5 dollars per child) or $12 dollars at the gate ($5 dollars per child). Your ticket is good for either Saturday or Sunday.
