The City of West Palm Beach is getting ready to light Sandi The Christmas Tree this week. For the past several weeks, the waterfront has been transforming into the ultimate Holiday in Paradise filled with lights and holiday decorations.

The 35-foot, 700-ton tree made entirely of sand has been named Sandi by the city years ago and Sandi makes a debut with a different theme every year as part of their holiday tradition. New this year, is Sandi’s friend Hope, a flamingo who will help Sandi bring the holiday spirit to Palm Beach County this December.

This Saturday, December 5th, Sandi the tree and Hope will be lit for the holiday season during one of their Nightly Light Shows running from this Saturday to the end of December. The Nightly Light Shows run

Its official, The South Florida Fair recently announced its dates for the annual 2021 South Florida Fair. The South Florida Fair is one of the most anticipated events in Palm Beach County and next year the fair will be back and better than ever.

The South Florida Fair Officials announced that the annual event will be held on January 15th through January 31st, 2021. The fair is set to include all the typical entertainment, rides, fair foods, games, and much more. Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach has transformed into a Holiday Light Spectacular for the holiday season. Starting this weekend, the park is open for a drive-through Holiday Light Show.

The family-filled, holiday event is filled with thousands of holiday decorations, animations, holiday music, and lights for everyone to enjoy. The drive-through event is over one mile long and the event benefits the Lights 4 Hope, a non-profit organization created to bring happiness and hope to those in need.

When: Friday through Sunday nights starting Friday, November 20th through December 27th.

The Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society has partnered together with Florida Power and Light Company to present Zoo Lights this holiday season.

Zoo Lights has quickly became a South Florida holiday tradition for families and friends. After hours, while the animals are sleeping, the Palm Beach Zoo will be illuminated for the holiday season. The zoo will be decorated with over 1 million eco-friendly lights every night.

Zoo Lights will be aglow from 6 pm to 9 pm with unique lights and theme displays from the entrance through the Florida Wetlands, Tropics of Americas and new to this year, Asia. Santa will be stopping by this year through December 23rd for your photo opportunity. Zoo Lights will feature special animal encounters and special treats.

Starting this Saturday, the Center Court of The Gardens Mall will look a little like The North Pole. This weekend, Santa and his helper Elves are taking over the center of the mall to bring some holiday cheer.

The annual visit with Santa Claus will look a little different this year. The Gardens Mall plans to let you “Whisper your wishes to Jolly Old Saint Nick” starting on Saturday, November 21st during regular mall hours.

In order to adhere to the current safety and health regulations, The Gardens Mall and Santa Claus have a set rules and guidelines they would like everyone to follow.

Ralph H Norton and his wife Elizabeth founded The Norton Museum of Art in 1941. Ralph Norton was an industrialist in Chicago who headed the Acme Steel Company. The museum came about because him and his wife used to collect items and art to decorate their home.

The couple began spending more time in Palm Beach County when they were semi-retired in 1935. Not knowing what to do with their giant art collection, the two decided to create their own museum in West Palm Beach. Construction first began on the Norton Gallery and the School of Art in 1940 and opened a year later to the public in February of 1941.

Deck The Palms Boutique Holiday Market is back again for the 12th year and is happening this weekend at the Palm Beach Outlets. This year, the event will take place entirely outside.

Deck The Palms Market is an event put on by the Junior League of the Palm Beaches and this event is the largest fundraising event for the league. Every year the market is attended by thousands of people looking to find the perfect holiday gift or treat themselves to something nice. The city of West Palm Beach is continuing their holiday traditions this year and the holiday season has kicked off this week with a giant sand delivery. Wednesday, 17 truckloads of sand rolled into downtown West Palm Beach to start the construction of Sandi the holiday tree.

Sandi is the only waterfront tree made entirely from sand and will stand at 35 feet tall.  An additional 35 tons of sand will be brought in to create the surrounding sculptures and to help with this year’s theme. The theme for 2020 is Hope and the tree hopes to bring hope for the holidays.

Sculptors are expected to arrive on site next week to start the construction of the 35-foot tree and is aiming to be finished in time for Thanksgiving. The city is planning on continuing their

The city of West Palm Beach is hosting their annual Seafood Festival this weekend at the South Florida Fairgrounds. The festival is a seafood enthusiast’s dream come true.

The family-friendly event will feature nautical vendors with unique merchandise, craftsman’s and artists displaying their original artwork and pieces, live music and entertainment, rides, a kid’s zone, a full service bar, and of course all the seafood you can ever imagine.  The seafood is fresh and cooked several different ways onsite.
