On select Saturday and Sundays of every month, the River Center in Jupiter teams up with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” to provide a series of Boating Safety Courses. The course is targeted towards young boaters in our community, but all are welcomed to attend and learn about the safety on the water.

The River Center is hosting Boater Safety Course this Saturday and Sunday. The class will be completely virtual and taught in a lecture-style class. The class is free to attend but a $10 dollar deposit is required to reserve a spot. The deposit will be returned at the end of the class. Once the two-day virtual class is completed and the exam taken, the young boaters will receive their Florida Boater Safety Identification card that can be used immediately.

These classes are provided through the AustinBlu Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and promoting educational activities to improve safety on the water.

Boater Safety Class Details:

When: Saturday, May 15th and Sunday, May 16th

Time: 8 am to 12 pm (each day)

Location: the class is virtual and can be taken from anywhere

Cost: $10 dollar deposit fee required to reserve space and will be returned once the class is completed.
