The 39th Annual Holiday Boat Parade in Boca Raton
In southern Florida, there is a holiday boat parade in nearly every city to honor the holiday spirit and the spirit that is south Florida, boating. Tomorrow, the 39th Annual Holiday Boat Parade is taking sail in Boca Raton.
The Intracoastal Waterways will light up for thousands of spectators to watch as boats beautifully, decorated with hundreds of thousands of lights cruise by. The boat parade will start at 6:30pm and continue until 8:00pm. It is often common for local residents who live in Waterfront Homes in Boca Raton, to host cocktail parties and holiday gatherings. If you are not hosting a party of your own or have one to attend, many of the waterfront restaurants in Boca Raton will be offering special viewing parties and celebrations to honor the annual Floridian event.
A dazzling show of fire works will commence at the end of the parade. Viewing areas for the fire works display are: the Red Reef Park and the Silver Palm Park in Boca Raton. For those traveling by boat to see the show, boat route is as follows:Intracoastal Waterway starting at the C-15 canal (Boca Raton-Delray Beach city limits) traveling south to Hillsboro Bridge.
Bridge Opening Schedule (approximate):
- Spanish River Blvd Bridge – Beginning at 6:50 pm
- Palmetto Park Bridge – Beginning at 7:20 pm
- Camino Real Bridge – Beginning at 7:30 pm
- **Bridges will be held in the “Up” position for approximately 30 minutes
