THE SAILFISH CHALLENGE: FEBRUARY 5-8
The Sailfish Challenge has rapidly developed as one of the most widespread and perhaps the largest Sailfish tournaments in the nation. The Sailfish Challenge is returning for another competition starting on February 5-8, 2015 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
There are over sixty boats that have pre-registered and are getting ready to battle and the winnings expect to exceed over 375,000 dollars. “It’s another shot closer to winning the Quest for the Crest Sailfish Series and the chance at the champion’s burgundy jacket.”
The Sailfish Challenge is so distinctive because it permits fishermen to check in and out of any of the three dissimilar South Florida inlets such as Lake Worth Inlet in Palm Beach, Government Cut in Miami and Hillsboro Inlet in Pompano Beach. Thusly, it offers all of the teams’ to have easier access to the desired angling spots. The competition also proposed a fish division that includes wahoo, cobia, dolphin and kingfish.
Fishing Teams can compete for their boat brand in The Boat Builder’s Throwdown as well as the ultimate cash prize. “In addition to the anglers’ payouts, the Sailfish Challenge donates a portion of its proceeds to IGFA Conservation Programs that work to promote ethical sport fishing and productive science around the world.”
“Final registration for the Sailfish Challenge is February 5th at the kickoff party, which is hosted at the International Game Fish Association in Fort Lauderdale. Competition day is Saturday, February 7th and the awards ceremony follows on Sunday, February 8th at Blue Moon Fish Company."
