TURTLEFEST 2015: DISCOVERING OUR WOLRD OCEAN in JUNO BEACH
The ocean is Earth’s essence, and it is still 95 percent undiscovered. "No matter how far from the shore that you live, oceans still affect your life and the lives of your families and friends, classmates and colleagues. The air that you breathe, the water you drink, the food you eat, the products that keep you warm, safe, informed, and entertained — all can come from or be transported by the ocean."
The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is putting on its 12th annual free admission festival, TurtleFest which focuses on uncovering our world’s oceans to teach and encourage safe practices to boost ocean and sea turtle conservation.
TurtleFest is a family friendly event where learning is the focus of the experience. There will be students showing off their environmental themed artwork, visitors can meet with endangered sea turtles as well as educational presentations, children’s activities, fine art and shopping, food and music by “conservation-minded local musicians. Plus American Idol contestants will be performing powerful and passionate songs.
The fun filled and totally awesome festival is expected to have over ten thousand people attending: TurtleFest 2015: Discovering Our Ocean will be held Saturday, March 28th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Loggerhead MarineLife Center and the surrounding Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach, Florida.
Join the largest annual “friend” raiser to support the center as they work hard days year round to protect and care for our sea turtles all while education the community about the fascinating creatures that visit our beaches. Have fun in the friendly atmosphere where learning is the foundation.
