Waterfront Properties To Contend in ‘Bluewater Babes Fish for a Cure’
The classy and clever women of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities will board Waterfront I on Oct. 6 to help raise money for two Palm Beach County cancer charities.
Eleven anglers from the Jupiter-based real-estate and brokerage firm will participate in the fourth-annual kingfish, dolphin and wahoo challenge benefiting Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope and Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper.
The fun and festive tournament at Castaways Marina gets under way Oct. 5 and features a mix of fishing, boat decorating, cocktail concocting and costume contests, as well as an awards party to raise money for local breast- and ovarian-cancer patients who are in financial need. Since 2009, “Bluewater Babes Fish for Cure” has raised more than $100,000.
The Waterfront Properties team includes Betsy Munson, captain, Linda Blackwell and Carola Rathke, co-captains, and anglers Sheri Carter, Jessica Donohue, Andrea Jacobson, Jo Ann Jacobson, Stephanie Kline, Kathy Palmer, Gina Pelcher, Stacie Sciolino and Christina Zecca.
“We are looking forward to another fabulous event,” said Jennifer McGrath, chairwoman of the tournament. “This event grows larger every year, and we are so excited that there are so many supporters and community leaders joining in our fight against breast and ovarian cancer.”
