WATERFRONT REGULATIONS in JUPITER- HELPING OWNERS of WATERFRONT LAND!
Next week, February 12, 2015 at 5:30pm The Town of Jupiter will hold a public meeting regarding changes to marine facilities regarding their regulations. The marine facilities the workshop will cover include structures like retaining walls, seawalls, docks and boatlifts. The new additions and updates to be made will benefit owners of waterfront land in Jupiter. The town is seeking to update marine facility regulations to give waterfront property owners more options when it comes to stabilizing shorelines and vessels. “The intent is also to balance the impacts by preserving and enhancing Jupiter’s natural shoreline to promote a healthy marine environment for all to enjoy,” say the members at The Town of Jupiter.
The Town of Jupiter has opened the workshop to the public but recommends reserving a spot before attending. The Town of Jupiter is encouraging anyone with any of these marine structures to come out and weigh in on the new regulations. The meeting will focus on types of “structures allowed along waterways and canals in the town that may be changed or impacted by, shoreline construction and moorings; including owners that may want to modify or install a seawall, retaining wall, dock or boatlift.”
If you would like to attend you can RSVP by Monday, February 9,2015.
