BREAST AND OVARIAN CANCER FUNDRAISER

Bluewater Babes Fishing Tournament Grand Slam Tackle & Marine Center and The Square Grouper Tiki Bar of Jupiter, Florida present the 4th annual “Bluewater Babes Fish For A Cure”. This fundraising event is scheduled for October 5th and 6th  and with a kickoff party this evening, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Square Grouper Tiki Bar.  This is a women’s fishing tournament which raises money for two local charities:  H.O.W. Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper ( www.ovariancancerpbc.org/) and Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope (www.cahh.org/).

The popular Tequesta sandbar was the sunny site of the wildly attended Conch Bar Jam that saw more than 1,000 boating enthusiasts converge on the patch of land in the middle of the Intracoastal Waterway.

The Tequesta sandbar, from which beautiful views of homes for sale on Jupiter Island can be had, is near Jupiter Pointe Marina and south of the private enclave of Rolling Hills. Live music by Big Vince and the Phat Cats, a Pontiki boat shuttle for passengers and fresh food were among the offerings, as well as paddleboard and kayak rentals.

Proceeds from the event went to Bluewater Babes, a local charitable organization raising funds for cancer organizations Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope and Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper.
