Where to Eat on Christmas Eve in the Palm Beaches

Christmas is one of the biggest cooking days of the year. Whether they are having turkey, prime rib, ham, tofu or all of the above, many people like to go out on Christmas Eve so they don’t have to worry about putting together yet another homemade meal. Here are a few restaurant options for those of you in Palm Beach County looking to eat out on Christmas Eve.

Burt and Max’s

Burt and Max’s is open normal business hours on Christmas Eve, from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. On Christmas Day the restaurant is open from 1-8:30 p.m. Chef Patrick Broadhead is offering a la carte holiday specials, clam chowder ($9), burrata and tomatoes ($13), short ribs ($28), scallops ($31) — in addition to the regular menu. On Christmas Day the drinks from the bar are half-priced with the purchase of an entree.

Avocado Grill

On Christmas Day, Avocado Grill will be open from 1-9 p.m. and will, in addition to the regular menu, offer some special holiday fare, including jumbo lump crab ($18), lobster risotto ($46), black grouper ($38) and beef short ribs ($38). The same offer will be at the Palm Beach Gardens restaurant (11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Ave., Palm Beach Gardens, 561-766-2430).

The Flagler Steakhouse

The classic Flagler Steakhouse is on the second floor of The Breakers’ Golf and Tennis Clubhouse will be serving three prix fixe menus on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

‒ Christmas Eve lunch: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec 24, $95 ($45 age 12 and younger)

‒ Christmas Eve dinner: 4 to 9 p.m., $145 ($50 age 12 and younger)

‒ Christmas Day lunch: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 25, $115 ($50 age 12 and younger)

Christmas Day Brunch in The Circle — From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy an elaborate brunch served in the renowned Circle dining room, arguably the resort’s most stunning space, dotted with arched windows with teasers of the ocean. Finish with festive desserts. Unlimited Champagne cocktails, Bloody Marys and The Breakers’ custom-blended wine. A harpist plays tableside. Price is $165 per person, $60 age 12 and younger.

Christmas Dinner in the Ponce de Leon Ballroom — A full buffet dinner showcasing classics: beef tenderloin, rack of lamb, the day’s fresh catches including spiced jumbo shrimp cocktail, Alaskan King crab legs, oysters, clams, caviar, sushi rolls and an array of desserts from peppermint bark and crème brûlée, cakes and pies). Serving from 3 to 7 p.m., $195 ($75 age 12 and younger).
