WHOLE LATTE LOVE FOR COFFEE MONTH
August is the national month of coffee!
FUN FACT: Did you know that coffee is the second most recognizable scent in America – second only to the smell of the aroma of burning wood.
Social aspects of “coffee” have been noted in modern culture for quite some time. The United States is the largest market for coffee, followed by Germany and Japan. Inviting someone for a cup of coffee has led to Americans embracing “the café” as a social gathering place to relax. An individual inviting another to their home, late at night, for a cup of coffee after a date could be an invitation something more than just a cup of coffee. Coffee in culture or trade is a central theme and prominently referenced in much fiction and regional history.
Specialty coffee shops, such as Oceana Coffee Roasters, 221 Old Dixie Highway, Tequesta, offer a proprietary blend of specialty grade beans roasted for brewing without heat. It is brewed for more than 16 hours and double filtered. Their cold brewed ice coffee never is exposed to hot water and poured over chilly and flavorful ice cubes made of the same coffee. Oceana plans to bottle its cold brew soon. Call the Oceana baristas at 561-401-2453 to see what is brewing today.
