WORLD CLASS WINE DESTINATION in WEST PALM BEACH
Great news for Palm Beach County’s wine lovers, one of South Florida’s top restaurants has just earned a very rare “Grand Award” from Wine Spectator Magazine. The Italian eatery, La Sirena, was chosen as one out of eight restaurants in the world this year to be welcomed into the elite circle Grand Award winners.
La Sirena, located in the heart of West Palm Beach, Florida, against the backdrop of modest tones, delicious food and good conversation. The restaurant looks as if it was picked out of an Italian countryside with exceptional service. The infused menu was chosen to feature fresh and seasonal fare while keeping the beloved classics.
The top wine experts have nominated, La Sirena, as “A World Class Wine Destination.” Due to the amassed wine menu that features over 900 selections over the past 25 years. Covering 10 countries, Italy, being the most represented. “In 2012 we teamed up with Marchesi de’ Cordano in Abruzzo, Italy to create specific blends of grape varietals only available at La Sirena Restaurant.” Just think of the tastes on the palate, where the wine is well balanced with supple tannins that lead to a soft, smooth, and polished finish.
“We were totally surprised and honored to receive this recognition,” La Sirena owner Marcello Fiorentino said in an email to The Post. “We are about to reopen for our 30th season on September 9th and are thrilled to start another year. Marcello’s La Sirena has nearly 1,000 wines on its list and climbing, including one of the richest collections of Tuscan wines in the United States,” Wine Spectator says on its website. “Italy’s great diversity is well-represented, from top to bottom of the boot.”
Grand Award winners serve a vast selection of wines that reflect the nuances of classic wine regions. They are also judged on their cuisine, service, and ambiance, among other things.
