Yesteryear Village is a great place to bring your kids to learn about and gain firsthand experience about the past. It is as close as you’ll get to giving them a time-machine.

About

Yesteryear Village is a history park nestled on 9 acres, showcasing buildings and artifacts from 1895 to 1945. It is a year-round attraction at the South Florida Fairgrounds and includes an old school, a farm, a blacksmith shop, a general store, and several houses among other buildings; they all make up the historic & fascinating Yesteryear Village. This is a unique opportunity to chat with the town residents, and listen as they tell you what their daily life was really like prior to 1940!

You can also discover a large collection of early, original and replicated buildings including the only big band museum in the United States, the Sally Bennett Big Band Hall of Fame Museum.
