2 Summer Events You Must Attend THIS WEEKEND!
One of the events is free and all about the ocean and the other requires purchase of a ticket and is theatrical and elegant. So, whether you like to soak up the hot weather and warm Atlantic waters of Jupiter or you would rather keep cool and get dressed up for a ballet, here are two events you should experience.
Performed by the Boca Ballet Theatre
This Saturday and Sunday at the Boca Ballet Theatre you can witness the beauty and grace of summer in ballet form with “Brilliant Summer.” The talented ensemble of dancers at the Boca Ballet Theatre deliver a comedic and classical take on ballet and summertime. “Brilliant Summer,” is a mixed performance offering three unique parts set to the backdrop of dance and theater. “The variety on display includes David Parsons’ comedic work The Envelope, a classic section from George Balanchine’s La Source, and the world premiere of Graduation Ball from Dan Guin and Sanjay Saverimuttu.”
See “Brilliant Summer” at 8pm this Saturday and 2pm this Sunday. Educational Reef Program
John D. MacArthur State Beach Park
For the beach lovers, you must come out to MacArthur Beach State Park this Saturday for a free program with admission to the park ($5 admission into the park) to snorkel out to the reefs. The educational reefs at MacArthur Beach State Park are super close to the shore making this program ideal for youngsters or beginning snorkelers. The educated staff at the park will snorkel out with the group and give an up close and personal tour of the local reefs and all of the creatures that live on the reefs. You will get to see tropical fish, sea turtles, corals and sea fans. Maybe even a dolphin or a manatee if you are lucky and get to learn all about their lives on the Floridian reefs. This fun and affordable program is the perfect way to educate you kids, friends or out of town guests on the beauty of our oceans and what makes Jupiter so special.
The Educational Reef Program put on by John D. MacArthur State Park takes place this Saturday from 11am to noon. Park admission is $5 per vehicle and program is free with park admission. John D.
