Many cities have canceled their festivities, and with that, the main draw: fireworks. But some are moving forward. Your best, and safest, bet is to watch either in your backyard or on a TV or computer screen. No, it won’t be as good as the real thing. But it’s a small price to pay for your health and safety.

In New York City, Macy’s fireworks show, a spectacle that usually beckons residents to rooftops and parks on July 4, will take place on several unspecified nights from Monday through the holiday, with each display lasting only five minutes. They will be set off from unannounced locations…

The Seminole Wars, also known as the Florida Wars, were a series of three battles between the Seminole Indians and the U.S. military from 1816-1858. They were the longest, most expensive Indian wars in U.S. history both monetarily and in human lives lost.

They began in the early 18th century when General Andrew Jackson led excursions on the north and west sides of Florida, forcing the Seminoles and other tribes to move to one large preservation in the center of the state. The government began building forts and trading posts in native territories enforcing the movement of the Indians by treaty. Their resistance began the First Seminole War in 1816.

In 1830 the Indian Removal Act sparked the second war as it required all natives to move to…

The mask can come off if someone is actively eating at a restaurant, exercising at the gym, physically distanced from others at a park, beach, boat or golf course, but masks must be worn when coming and going from these places or when others are within close proximity.
