Deerfield Beach is a fun destination with great shops and many opportunities for water sports.

Quiet Waters Park

Quiet Waters Park spans an amazing 431.4 acres and contains an array of fun activities for the entire family, anything from a water park to cable water skiing to fishing to bicycle rentals. Splash Adventure features tons of slides, tunnels, and lifeguards always on duty. Ski Rixen offers cable water skiing and is the only water ski park in all of Florida. There are also 7.1 miles of mountain bike trails that are monitored closely by Safety Bike Patrol. Visitors also enjoy fishing in the park’s many lakes, as well as the Lakeview Marina, open weekends and holidays. A Rent-A-Tent campground is also popular, offering 25 tent sites with running water, a grill, electricity, and more.

International Fishing Pier

The International Fishing Pier is one of the main attractions of Deerfield Beach, offering a 976 foot pier for all to enjoy. The Pier allows you to rent fishing rods at the location and offers fresh and frozen bait, fishing accessories, and T-shirts. Group fishing lessons are also available, with a minimum of 10 people per group, as well as private fishing lessons for ages 7 and up. A fishing excursion takes place the 1st Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30, for ages 13-18, and there is an ongoing Environmental workshop and breakfast at the North Pavilion from 10:30 to 11:30.

Island Water Sports

Island Water Sports is a popular surf shop located in Deerfield Beach. The perfect place to stop before a beach trip, they have everything from surfboards to skateboards to kayaks to paddle boards. Going above the beyond simple inventory, Island Water Sports also offers rentals, surf camps, competitions, events on the beach, and more. The employees, especially, are very knowledgeable and true assets to the company. Because of its overall laidback and welcoming atmosphere, many locals go to Island Water Sports simply to hang out and relax.

Pickle Barrel

Opened in 1974, Pickle Barrel is a family-owned delicatessen and restaurant located in Deerfield Beach. For the past 36 years, it has remained a consistent landmark in Deerfield Beach, as well as the store’s only location. Pickle Barrel’s reputation has grown so much over the years that it has retained a loyal clientele, as well as the attention of seasonal residents who make certain to visit before they travel back home. Also, the Whale Fries, which are newly cut potato chips served with Whale Juice, are a huge seller.
