Pompano Beach is bustling with fun activities! Here are a few to try:

Casino Isle and Racing

Casino Isle and Racing is a fun-packed center with 1500 slot machines, 38 poker tables, six restaurants, harness racing, 38 poker tables, and live entertainment 7 days a week. Live harness racing is available October through May, with harness and thorough bred racing, as well as a greyhound racing simulcasted from over 20 venues in North America. There are also many different kinds of restaurants from which to choose, including Bragazzo, Pick Buffet, Farraday’s, Myron’s Delicatessen, and Trackside Grill. Many events and specials take place during the month; be sure to check their website for updates.

Qquest is a one-of-a-kind experience in Pompano Beach. Known as an Escape Room, players are locked inside a room together and are forced to solve riddles and puzzles in order to break out within 60 minutes. Rooms are themed, and this location offers 2 different ones from which to choose. The minimum age requirement is 13, and there is nothing scary or spooky about the experience. Mostly, it is a way for families and friends to put their heads together for great puzzle-solving fun. It’s recommended that visitors make reservations in advance, and the option is available to reserve two rooms.

Diamond Strikes Lanes

Opened in 1958, Diamond Strikes Lanes is 32 lane bowling alley with a fun arcade, pro shop, and Sound and Light show. There are also 8 large televisions and the RIP Sports Bar Nightclub & Grill. Bumpers are available for the youngsters, and every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm to 1am, adults can enjoy glow bowling, special effects, music, prizes, and a Live DJ. Customers also enjoy the Video Jukebox, featuring over 1000 songs to be displayed on the huge screens throughout the facility. The RIPS Sports Bar & Grill attracts sports fans from all over.

Butterfly World

The first butterfly park in the Western hemisphere, Butterfly World is located in Coconut Creek, just a short drive from Pompano Beach. It opened in 1988 and has since been a family favorite. It includes not only tens of thousands of butterflies, but also the country’s largest free-flight hummingbird aviary and a lorikeet encounter. Butterfly World offers educational programs for schools, making it a great place for a field trip. Imagine the delight as a tiny little colorful butterfly lands on your child’s hand. There is never a “best time” to visit, as Butterfly World is always thriving with home-bred butterflies and hundreds of birds.

Pompano Municipal Pier

The Pompano Municipal Pier is a fabulous place to fish and catch some rays. Parking is abundant, and there is always a lovely breeze to compliment the stunning city views of Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale. For those wanting to grill, there is an area just for that, with picnic tables and splotches of grass. Restaurants are within walking distance; however, for those wanting a quick snack, a concession stand is right on the pier. Visitors also enjoy watching the many birds that frequent the area.
