Wellington is a diverse village offering something for even the choosiest visitor.

Mall at Wellington Green

One of the most popular stops in Wellington is the Mall at Wellington Green, located in the heart of Palm Beach County. The Mall features such big-name retailers such as Dillard’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom, and JC Penney, as well as over 180 shops, plus a few restaurants. Kids especially enjoy the play area, which is a great place for moms to congregate, as there is a wide variety of seating available. A large food court rounds out one end of the mall, offering a Chik Fil A, McDonalds, Taco Bell, and Subway, to name a few.

Lion Country Safari

Florida’s only drive-through safari, Lion Country Safari is one of the most-loved destinations for families with small children. One of the unique things about Lion Country Safari is that it encompasses a water spray-ground, merry-go-round, miniature golf course, ferry boat ride on the Safari Queen, paddle boats, animal displays, a large restaurant, and more, all within one park. There is also a Lory and Lorikeet exhibit, which enables visitors to enter an enclosed area and feed the birds nectar out of their hands. A favorite among kids is also the giraffe exhibit, during which time kids are able to feed the long-necked creatures by hand.

South Florida Fairgrounds

Each year, every South Floridian anticipates the return of the South Florida Fair. Spanning 135 acres, the Fairgrounds is divided into several sections, including the Yesteryear Village, Cruzan Amphitheater, Expo Center (where most of the exhibits take place), and the Midway, which is where all of the exciting games and thrilling rides can be found. Each year, the fair holds a different theme, such as Alaska, New England, and Hollywood, in hopes to attract visitors. One year, the entire expo room was filled with giant sand-sculptures. Over 500,000 people frequent the fair each year, and it lasts for a span of about two weeks.

Palm Beach International Polo Club

Palm Beach International Polo Club, founded in 2002, is a world-class polo club founded to illustrate the best in the sport. Visitors enjoy the splendid swimming pool, Mallet Grille Patio, and world-class Spa.
