5TH ANNUAL BLUEWATER BABES FISH FOR A CURE
One of the most talked about and a fun charity events in our community is gearing up for its 5th annual fishing tournament. Grand Slam Tackle & Marine Center and the Square Grouper Tiki Bar present “Fish for a Cure”. This event is a unique mix fishing, charity, boat decorating, and cocktails to raise money for breast and ovarian cancer patients, who are in financial need, in the Jupiter and surrounding Palm B
Bluewater Babes supports two local charities: Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope and Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper (H.O.W.). They have raised contributions in excess $130,000 for those fighting breast and ovarian cancer. These women are undergoing financial hardship and the funds donated from the tournament assist them with everyday living expenses such as rent, car payments, and health insurance. This allows the women the chance to concentrate on healing.
Last year’s event had record number of over 90 boats registered for the tournament and in excess of 1,000 guests enjoying the festivities over the course of the tournament. The 2013 2-day event is scheduled for October 4th – 5th at the Square Grouper Tiki Bar in Jupiter beginning Friday, with a Captains Meeting and ending Saturday evening with a party!
Gordon and Doner, P.A. presents the “5th ANNUAL BLUEWATER BABES FISH FOR A CURE” kick-off party at JR’s Buckwild Country Bar in Palm Beach Gardens, on September 19 between 6pm – 8pm. With a $10 minimum donation to Bluewater Babes, you will receive a a Bluewater Babes koozie and a complimentary drink. Participate in the raffle drawings and be eligible to win $100 gift card to the Castaways Square Grouper Tiki Bar, or $500 and $1,000 gift cards to the Gardens Mall.
