A Great Park You MUST Visit in Boynton Beach: Arthur R. Marshal Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge!
For a different adventure for yourself or yourself with family and friends, you must venture out to the Arthur R. Marshal Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge in Boynton Beach! The refuge is located just north of the lush and lively Everglades. The refuge is a dedicated organization that is devoted to preserving the wildlife of the Florida Everglades.
What makes the Arthur R. Marshal Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge so special is that not only do they serve a great cause but it is a fun place to learn, visit and give back to our native environment. The refuge prides itself on preserving animals like the endangered snail kite, the wood stork and the formerly endangered American alligator. When you enter through the main entrance of the park you will be greeted by ample wildlife, beautiful greenery. Some of the things to do when you visit the park include a gorgeous butterfly garden, miles of walking and hiking trails, observation areas, and biking trails, kayaking and canoeing.

The main entrance is 2 miles south of Boynton Beach Boulevard, west off US 441/SR7.
The southern entrance, 6 miles west of the junction of Loxahatchee Road (US 827) and US 441, offers boat ramps, hiking trails, a bike trail and bank fishing.
The northern entrance, 11.4 miles west of the junction of Southern Blvd (US 98/SR 80) and US 441, offers a boat ramp and fishing platform.
The Refuge is open from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day.
The Visitor Center is open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving.
