The Abacoa Community Garden in Jupiter is a garden open to the public that follows organic, sustainable growth practices with no chemicals involved. Most of the plants grown are veggies, fruits, wildflowers, butterfly plants and small trees. The garden consists of three parts- a community sharing garden, one for children and also individual plots.

The Abacoa Community Garden is a great tool to bring the community together to practice wholesome fellowship and offers educational opportunities for all ages. Members often come up with fun and healthy learning activities for both children and adults alike.

This Sunday, September 23rd, the garden is hosting a Seed Exchange & Garden Season Kick-Off that is going to be so much fun and super hands-on. The seed exchange will allow new gardeners to start growing plants and learn more information about how to get involved in the community garden. Others will share gardening tips and exchange seeds, plants, and cuttings for a winter garden of abundance! You'll also get to meet and mingle with locals over some drinks and snacks, and there will be really cool kids activities including seed planting and cupcake decorating.

Check out the garden on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. for the seed exchange event!
