The Anquan Boldin Foundation Charity Golf Celebration will be held at BallenIsles Country Club on Thursday April 11th. The shotgun start tournament will be a part of the three day Q-Festival that Boldin and his foundation will put on for the ninth consecutive year.

The Anquan Boldin Foundation, also known as Q81 for the #81 that he wears on the field, is dedicated to expanding the educational and life opportunities of underprivileged children as well as benefiting youth programs in Boldin’s home state of Florida. The Foundation exercises scholarship and dental programs for children. It also serves the community by awarding great scholastic and community achievement in youth.

A native of Pahokee, Boldin played college football for Florida State before going to the NFL. Q-Fest has drawn several former and current NFL players over the years including Larry Fitzgerald, Kurt Warner, Ray Rice, and Michael Irvin.

The golf event at BallenIsles will kick off the festival with a shotgun start on the East Course at 12:30pm. The day will conclude with a dinner and auction at 5:30pm and prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

On Friday, April 12th there will be a celebrity basketball game held at Pahokee high school starting at 5pm and the festival will wrap up with a “fun day at the park” on Saturday at Anquan Boldin Stadium at Pahokke High School.

Entries into the golf event start at $500 and include the post tournament dinner and a gift bag. A limited number of tickets are also on sale for those who want to watch, but not play in the event, for $100.
