Pizza is a one of the staples of “American consumed” food and local Tequesta restaurants have quite the reputation for creating delicious stone baked tomato pies.  These days pizzas have evolved and morphed into a healthy option for lunch or dinner.Back in 18th century Naples, busy workers needed a food they could eat on-the-go, in between shifts.  The pizza we enjoy came about an inexpensive, easy-to-eat meal for workers. Just like the old-world workers, we find that ordering nutritious, veggie packed pizza allows us to take one more thing to do off the plate.

Seasoned flatbreads were essentially a precursor to pizza.  In some Mediterranean cultures, stone-baked flatbreads made of flour and water were a humble and satisfying meal. To this day pizza is still an easy, nourishing meal with Saturday being the most popular day of the week to eat pizza.
