Brightline is a new intercity express train running from Miami to Orlando with stops in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. While the Orlando station is still being constructed, the train has opened its doors for South Florida commuters traveling between Miami and West Palm.

For business or pleasure, Brightline makes taking a day trip to Miami easier and faster than driving on the highway. People leaving from West Palm Beach can expect to be in Fort Lauderdale in 30 minutes and Miami in an hour. Once the Orlando station opens it will take two hours to get there from West Palm, as the train travels at 125 mph.

The stations are all in central downtown locations and the train is reliable with a predicted travel time as opposed to driving on I-95 where you never know what's in store. The locomotives use FPL biodiesel-electric engines that are speedy, quiet and low-emission.

The Brightline carts were designed by architects and interior designers who made high-class style and efficiency a priority. Featuring free wifi, power outlets, multitask trays, state-of-the-art bathrooms, and large reclining leather seats, doing business on-the-go is convenient and comfortable. If you're taking a trip for fun, you'll be pleased to know there's plenty of room for bikes and carry on storage and the train is also pet friendly!

There are two seating options onboard: "Smart Service" which includes everything previously mentioned for the price of $15 one way or "Select Service" for $20 one way- the seats are extra wide, seating options are more varied, and you get complimentary drinks and snacks and access to the Premium Lounge.

Try taking a trip on the Brightline and experience a new way to travel the Florida coast. See photos of the train and find out more about up and coming services here.
