Ever wanted to own your own bakery? A once in a lifetime opportunity to possess your own cupcake shop may perhaps come true courtesy of Royal Treatz in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
The delicious treat shop is currently holding a competition in order to donate the shop in the form of an essay contest with just a $100 entry charge. Owner of Royal Treatz, Lisa Cann, is holding this contest to ensure the prolongation and continuousness of Royal Treatz and that the shop will stay in its current form as she is transitioning into retirement for health related reasons. Cann told ABC News that she would like to see the bakery go to someone who has the “business drive” to make it a constant achievement. “Whoever gives me the best story is the one that’s gonna get it. It’s about the drive that they want to build it. I don’t want a baker to just come in here and bake.” Royal Treatz has gained a positive reputation over the years and has received a bunch of awards to show for.
The competition has its own Facebook Page, “I Want Royal Treatz,” where participants can find instructions to write the 500 word or fewer essay on why they want the shop and what they plan on doing with it. Once all the entries are submitted by August 15th, Cann will carefully choose her top 10 selections and post them to the Facebook Page. The one with the most ‘Likes’ will get the fabulous cupcake shop: Royal Treatz! Here are the full rules and details: Royal Treatz Contest Rules
After the grand winner has been chosen, Cann will stick around for a few months while the new owner is getting acclimated to the shop!
Royal Treatz makes cakes, cupcakes, cookies, chocolate, wedding cakes and more, and Cann sees it being the Dairy Queen of desserts.
Will you be the next owner?!
