The Town of Jupiter planning and zoning commission is reviewing a 72,000-square-foot CineBowl & Grille project. A grass field located across from the Roger Dean Stadium in Abacoa, has been vacant since the 16-screen Crown Theater was demolished in 2006. If approved by the town council, it will become a $21 million entertainment complex with bowling, food, movies and music and will bring entertainment to Abacoa located in Jupiter. No dates are set for public hearings. CineBowl & Grille is a family-friendly place. The design for CineBowl & Grille calls for 20-bowling lanes and restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating. A dozen movie theaters with 1,073 reclining seats, including an IMAX, are planned. There will be outdoor live music, according to the plans submitted by Frank Entertainment Companies (FEC) and Rendina Companies, both based in Jupiter. Frank Entertainment Companies operates nearly 30 locations, including 300 screens and 150 bowling lanes in eleven states. Locally, FEC operates Revolutions in CityPlace and a CineBowl at Delray Marketplace at Atlantic Avenue and Lyons Road.
