New for 2016 is a schedule of fun, adventurous and educational events put on by the Florida Coastal Office called ECO-ADVENTURES. This schedule of educational tours and field exploration studies take place at different locations around the state of Florida.
The Florida Coastal Office is excited to offer these adventures in hopes that local Floridians and tourists will have a fun way to learn all about the intriguing history and delicate ecosystems that are housed here in the sunshine state. Participants of the tours will see the native wildlife and plants.
These journeys take partakers on life changing adventures like kayaking journeys, catamaran sails, snorkeling explorations, wading trips into the water and educational boat tours. All of the eco-tours are intended to show you a version of south Florida you have never seen. Each eco-tour is specially designed to educate the guests about Florida’s environments, wildlife and their eco-systems as well as to encourage tour takers to explore their local Floridian environments.
Experienced guides and biologists on staff at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection will lead each of the 2016 eco-adventures. If you would like to sign up for the upcoming eco-adventures this year or be kept posted for where and when they will take place please visit: www.dep.state.fl.us/coastal/ecotourism.htm
