The eighth annual Golf for Wildlife golf tournament will be held at The Fox Club in Palm City on Friday, May 24. The event, hosted by the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center is among the most exclusive tournaments in the area.

The tournament will be hosted by long time supporter Glen Hess and the Vicki Hess Foundation and will benefit the wildlife center's misson to rehabilitate and return sick and injured wild animals to their natural environment.

golf2-1_282_06The Treausre Coast Wildlife Center treats thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals each year and serves Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, and Palm Beach Counties. Funds raised by the tournament will be used to support critical operational needs such as food and medical services for the animals under care.

The golf tournament will begin on Friday, the 24th with breakfast and practice on the range at 8am with participants teeing off at 9am. A lunch and awards ceremony will take place after the golf tournament ends.

In addition to the golf event, there will also be a silent auction that will take place. At this year's silent auction, participants will have a chance to win Miami Marlins tickets, fishing trips on the Sea Mist III, Safari I and other excursions, golf foursomes to Harbour Ridge, The Evergreen Club, and Boca West Country Club, a stay at the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa, and much more.

A limited number of spaces are still available. The cost is $350 per player or $1,200 for a fourseome and includes the breakfast, range balls, golf, and the lunch and awards ceremony.
