Local non-profit organization “Friends of Jupiter Beach” has been organizing beach cleanups on the first Saturday of every month for over 10 years.  Initially, the clean ups began with a handful of volunteers interested in keeping the beach clean of debris and waste.  Today, the “project has evolved into a significant force for environmental care of our environment.”

Every month an average over 200 volunteers help, remove almost 500 pounds of debris within a 2 and ½-mile stretch of Jupiter beach and the Jupiter Inlet.  This environmental preservation project is partnered up with Rapid Removal Services to haul away recyclables.

Join the volunteers on the next cleanup scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2015, beginning at 8:00am-10:00am. Volunteers, young to young-at-heart, help with the enjoyable and satisfying cleanup at Ocean Cay Park, 2188 Marcinsky Road, Jupiter.  A complimentary continental breakfast, sponsored by Einstein Bagels and Dunkin Donuts, will be provided, as well as “thanks for helping” door prizes upon completion.
