Consumers using the Internet in their homebuying process in South Florida continues to grow. Interestingly, those buyers are more likely to use a real estate agent, than not use a real estate professional according to an annual survey from the National Association of Realtors.

The National Association of Realtors, “Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers”, included survey responses from thousands of individuals who purchased a home during a one-year period of time. The seller information in the report is from those buyers who also sold a home. Home buyers who purchased a home during that time period, the highest share ever ,92 percent, used the Internet to search for a home.

The Internet is a part of getting your marketing strategy and is an important step toward getting your home sold.  A good agent if priceless!  It’s not all that surprising that buyers who look for homes online also research the process online. When most people begin researching something in a field that is not their specialty, it doesn't take long to see the value in hiring an expert in the field.  The more people who are able to see your home, the more likely you are to find an interested buyer and sell.  Consequently, if you are serious about getting your home sold, it is a good idea to talk it over with your real estate agent in order to develop an effective Internet marketing strategy for your property.

When it comes to listing your home online, there are many websites available. The most technologically-savvy and successful real estate companies, such as Waterfront Properties and Club Communities, have websites for their own business and will list available properties directly on their sites.

There are also many websites that are dedicated to helping those who are trying to sell their homes on their own. Listing a home on these sites is not free, however, so you should be prepared to spend at least several hundred dollars to list your home there. On the other hand, when hiring a real estate agent, listing your home on the Internet should be included as part of the marketing plan. When it comes to listing your home online, there are numerous websites available.
