The Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival is the predominant environmental film festival of its kind in North America. The 2016 film festival will take place in here in our own backyard at the historic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum, Jupiter. This influential series of short movies will inspire you to get involved with conservation and environmental organizations and encourage you to take action to protect our planet.
The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area was federally designated by Congress in May 2008 to “protect, conserve, and enhance the unique and nationally important historic, natural, cultural, scientific, educational, scenic, and recreational values of the Federal land surrounding the Lighthouse for the benefit of present generations and future generations for the people in the United States.”
The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum will collaborate with over 140 U.S. and Canadian environmental groups, nature centers, universities, and galleries to increase an outpouring of environmental support by hosting the Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival.
Plan on an interesting and enightening evening filled with beautfully stunning short films. The films will be shown at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum on a giant movie screen, April 9, 2016, 6:00 PM- 9:40 P.M. Live music, raffle tickets, food, sodas, beer and wine will available to purchase. Please bring your own bring lawn chairs. Tickets are limited and $10 each.
