After a great mini-season, Key West Lobsterfest is throwing the biggest party of the summer to celebrate the opening on regular Florida Keys Lobster Season. Residents from Jupiter, FL to Miami, FL all go to this famous event that happens every year.  A whole-hearted craving and a weakness for lobsters are mandatory during the 18th Annual Key West Lobsterfest. The celebration is set up for August 7th through August 10th.

Floridians crave the sweet and tender meat the spiny lobsters offer, many prefer them steamed with melted butter, while others enjoy lobster baked and stuffed, blended into creamy bisque or even chilled on a crispy salads.
The schedules for the festivities start at 6:00 p.m. on August 7th with a lobster boil, at the Sunset Tiki Bar & Grille, 617 Front Street. As well as lobster this feast includes, shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes. Other attractions include live entertainment and drink specials.
August 8th schedule features the energetic Duval Street Crawl with more than a dozen bars and party at Rick's/Durty Harry's Entertainment Complex, 202 Duval.
The festival's unquestionable highlight is the taste bud-tempting Key West Lobsterfest Street Fair, set for noon to 11 p.m. Aug. 9 in the blocks of Duval.

Lobster lovers can sample offerings ranging from appetizers to old-fashioned dinners with all the trimmings. All lobster served will be caught by Keys lobster fishermen, ensuring fresh-off-the-boat flavor, and dishes will be prepared by chefs from leading local restaurants.
Those attending can browse and buy vendors' art, crafts and merchandise and rock to the sounds of a free outdoor concert. The music is slated for 1 to 10:30 p.m., with performances by local and regional acts on a stage at Duval and Greene streets.
Key West Lobsterfest benefits a scholarship fund for Key West High School students.
