Lights on the Lagoon

A great way to celebrate the spirit of the holidays and the beauty of Florida, the Oceanographic Society of Stuart will be creating a Winter Wonderland at the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center. Located in between the Indian River Lagoon and Atlantic Ocean, the 57-acre nature center and lawn will be transformed into a beautiful wonderland with hundreds of thousands of lights.

Strung lights, Christmas trees, decorations all over... imagine walking into a Christmas Town lit up with fish tanks too! The center has an exhibit hall with aquariums of local marine life, a 10,000-gallon Rays of the Reef tank and an interactive touch tank where you can touch sting rays and other invertebrates. There's a 750,000-gallon Game Fish Lagoon featuring local game fish, sea turtles, and nurse sharks! Walk through the decorated butterfly garden and see all of the colorful lights through their various plants and stop by the Christmas gift shop.

The event will take place every Thursday- Sunday throughout the month of December starting this Thursday, December 7th. There will be a magician and live music every night along with the amazing display. The Winter Wonderland is open nightly from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are available online here

890 N. Ocean Blvd., Stuart, FL 34996.
