The 2nd Annual Live Like Jake 5K Run/Walk will be held at Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Your participation will help continue to raise funds for Infant Swim Resource self-rescue swim lessons and financially assist families who have lost a loved one or have a child with critical care needs. Come and join this 1 mile family walk in honor of Jake Roarke. All ages are welcome. This 3.1 mile flat, asphalt course is located in the scenic Abacoa Community of Jupiter, and is a USATF Certified Course. 5K runners will be electronically chip-timed by Accuchip USA, Inc.

There will be awards given to the overall, Masters and Grandmasters male and female winner. In addition, there will be 5-year age-group awards starting with 10 & under going up to 70 & older. Commemorative T-shirt included in the 5K Run for the FIRST 500 registrants. Children’s fun races are FREE (does not include T-shirt).  Ribbons given to all children in the free fun races. There will be bagels and fruit served for all registered participants (runners/walkers) on race day. Please see Registration Details for more information on fees.

Race Course Specifics
LIVE LIKE JAKE 5K RUN:
Start on University Blvd by Amphitheatre; proceed east and turn north (left) onto the southbound lane of Central Blvd, staying on the east side of the road; continue north and go around the west side of the Central Blvd/Fredrick Small roundabout, continue north and turn around approximately 25 yards south of the Central Blvd/Indian Creek roundabout; proceed south on the west side of the southbound lane of Central Blvd; continue south and go around the west side of the Central Blvd/Fredrick Small roundabout; continue south and turn west (right) onto University Blvd.,in Jupiter.

JAKE’S MILE – 1 MILE WALK:
Start on University Blvd by Amphitheatre, proceed east and turn north (left) onto the southbound lane of Central Blvd, staying on the east side of the road; continue north and turn around at the corner of Central Blvd and Promenade Blvd, proceed south on the west side of the southbound lane of Central Blvd; turn west (right) onto University Blvd; continue west to the finish line.
